ARE YOU LOOKING TO FIND OUT WHAT THIS WHOLE WEBSITE IS ABOUT??? WELL LOOK NO FURTHER!! ALL OF YOUR QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED HERE ON THIS VERY "FAQ PAGE", WRITTEN 2026/05/12 BY ME, THE "WEB SITE ADMINISTRATOR" WHO GOES BY RICHTR ON THE INTERNET.

QUESTION 1: WHAT IS THIS WEBSITE??? WHAT IS ITS PURPOSE?

because this is my personal website, this question is best answered by introducing myself. on the internet, i tend to go by the username RICHTR, & some variants thereof (richtrwastaken, richtr8, etc.). i picked this "user name" for myself when i was about 13 years old, & before then i used some different names which are too embarassing to divulge. a lot of them i also don't even remember, on account of being both too young & ashamed. i picked this user name because i wanted to name myself after the castlevania video game character, which i thought would make me seem cool enough to be accepted/go undetected as an underage user on the ancient imageboard "7chan". i could go on & on about this imageboard & my travails there, but to keep it short, the reason this website exists is because i spent most of my childhood & teenage years idolizing the administrators & operators of such places - not just *chan imageboards, but any kind of web community or online forum. i promise i am very different to this now, although the obsession has left quite a scar on my mind & body, so please be patient with me if it makes me come accross as stupid or insane.

QUESTION 2: WHAT THINGS ARE ON THE WEBSITE?? WHAT CAN I DO ON IT

as you can see on the front page, i host a few services here, such as:
- irc, an online chat protocol that you can use to message me or a group/channel of users. if you don't know what that is or how to use it, click here!!
- my personal blog, where i rant into the void, usually about how i want to write more or feel out-of-place in the world, or sometimes detailing some bizarre internet history or memoir i feel is important.
- a cloned instance of an 0x0.st fileserver, which anybody can use to upload & share files on my server.

these are the main/active services that tend to see the most usage on here, but in the past i have also hosted a few other things, & have other stuff planned for the future too. historically, ac10.org has hosted:

- a multiplayer "japro" duelling server for "star wars: jedi knight: jedi academy," which is still up, & shows up as "ac10" in the game's server browser. i don't play the game but i keep the server up because i still see people joining/playing on there pretty regularly.
- a maplestory v83 private server, which at the moment is down but can be put back up whenever people ask. if i managed to get it running on a different machine, it could be up constantly.

i also have a phpbb3-based forum on the backburner, too. i'm not sure when i will complete it, but it is something i have always wanted i guess, so i think i definitely will at some point. at this point it is kind of revealing to me that i am 30 years old & still writing about how i want my own internet forum, twiddling my thumbs & dreaming about it still, despite administrating this website + doing a whole bunch of other both paid & non-paid internet projects for years & years. i believe i am chasing some sort of dragon here, but that is for me to write about elsewhere, i think.

QUESTION 3: CAN I JOIN IN & BE ON THE WEBSITE WITH YOU???? HOW DO I SEND YOU MESSAGES TELLING YOU HOW BAD I THINK YOU ARE

why yes, you may. whilst my favourite way to be solicited remains to be irc, i am richtr8 on tweeter, disc sword & the gee mails, so feel free to drop me a line on there as well.
